Friends of Bloomington/Normal Lacrosse is a not-for-profit, parent-led action group focused on creating opportunities for high school athletes to play varsity lacrosse.
Successfully getting the lacrosse co-op on the field for the Spring of 2020 season will require our members and community to rally financial support in a short amount of time.
During the first week of October, the Boards of Education for District87 and Unit5 approved the formation of a cooperative lacrosse program for both boys and girls with the intent to field teams for the Spring of 2020. As this co-op team will be community funded and supported (more info on e), we are now raising money to support and fund the teams.
Our initial fundraising goal is $45,000. $25,000 for start-up expenses (helmets, uniforms, field equipment, etc.,) and $10,000 for each boys and girls team for the 2020 season (field fees, transportation, game-related expenses, etc.,).

Your donations will support our Bloomington/Normal high-school co-op lacrosse athletes compete at the highest level possible in Illinois. Stated differently, your donation helps kids in our community participate in co-curricular activities in school, without diverting dollars away from current educational needs.
The Friends of Bloomington-Normal lacrosse is a parent led, volunteer, Illinois Not-for-Profit Corporation focused on supporting the high-school co-op lacrosse programs in Bloomington/Normal.
99% of funds donated to FOBNL will be used to support the lacrosse co-op in Bloomington-Normal. FOBNL is an all-volunteer group so only a small portion of donated funds are needed to cover administrative expenses: professional fees (legal and accounting), marketing and media, and other administrative costs.
