Thankful for our community!

November 27, 2019

We are one week away from #GivingTuesday on December 3rd and three months away from the first day of the inaugural lacrosse season! While we have not heard officially, we expect practices will start the first week of March.

It is not too early for all lax families to start donating to get this program off to a good start!  The next two years will be instrumental to creating relationships with the school, community, and our competitor schools. We want to be known for a quality program we can all be proud of for years to come!

There is still a lot to do to be ready for our first Spring season, and seasons to come! Funds are needed to purchase helmets, jerseys, goals, balls and other equipment needed just to get the program off to a good start. Not only will this year’s kids benefit, but it sets the foundation for kids joining the team over the next few years.

FOBNL needs your help in achieving our fundraising goal by year-end 2019. As of November 26, we are less than half-way to our goal.

As a co-op team, our players will be supported by financial donations from friends, family, and our community.

Giving is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1.     Hit the “Donate Now” button and pay by credit card Donation Page

2.     Hit the “Donate Now” button and pay using PayPal

3.     Mail a check to FOBNL @ 9 Ravenwood Circle, Bloomington, IL 61704

State Farm families don’t forget, State Farm will match up to $1500 thru the Matching Grant Program. For more information on this program, please email us and we will help walk you through the process.

The fundraising committee (which is led by Kelly Freeman and Beth Witzemann) is brainstorming additional ways to raise money. Ideas include players sending texts or letters to family and friends asking for donations, “Dine and Donate” at restaurants (like Portillo’s, Chipotle and others), “Cash/Bash"/Silent Auctions, bagging groceries at Hy-Vee, pancake breakfasts at Applebee’s, and selling concessions at home games.

The Best Way you can enable IHSA Lacrosse in our community is to Donate Now (and encourage others to do the same)!!
