#GivingTuesday is here! Set your alarm for 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd to be one of the first to receive a Facebook match for FOBNL! Facebook will match the first $7M that is donated through our Facebook page starting at 7:00 a.m. CST. Their matching gifts are distributed on a "first come/first served" basis, so logging onto Facebook early is important. You can access our page by clicking here and look for our "Donate Now" button.
Start-up costs for the inaugural season are considerable and we are working hard to lay a strong foundation for the next several years. As a lacrosse co-op, our players will be supported by financial donations from friends, family, and our community...there are no district funds supporting the varsity co-op lacrosse programs.
If each lacrosse family donates $400 this month, FOBNL would be able to make a one-time donation to the school district to cover the start-up costs and season expenses for the boys and girls teams ...and have a little left over to begin building the bank account for next year. Start-up costs include the equipment necessary to launch the teams (purchasing helmets, uniforms, goals, balls and other supplies) and Season expenses include expenses the teams will incur throughout the season (transportation and bussing, field and competition fees, tournament entry fees, and staffing and coaching expenses).
To date we have raised over $15,000 of the $50,000 we need to meet our obligation to districts. We have made great progress in a short amount of time, but we need your help now to get our teams on the field this spring. Our deadline for donations is December 31st!

Interested in getting others involved in our efforts? Have a business contact who is open to making a charitable contribution to a worthy cause this year? We have developed a one-page informational overview of our effort, our goals, and a bit about lacrosse in our community to help get that conversation started. The PDF file is attached below, please reach out the FOBNL team with questions!
State Farm families don’t forget: State Farm will match up to $1500 (per employee, per year) through the Matching Gift Program. For more information on this program, please email us and we will help walk you through the process.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a donation to The Friends of Bloomington/Normal Lacrosse is also eligible for company gift matching programs. Please indicate that you are eligible for corporate gift matching on the donation form and we will assist you with the process.
