2020 is the year for IHSA sanctioned lacrosse in our community and its right around the corner! We cannot express how excited we are for the first rendition(s) of the Unit 5 school district Coop Lacrosse teams to take the field this spring. It has been a long journey, but finally our student athletes will be able to participate as they so deserve. Thank you for you continued patience and support.
We are now officially entering the next phase of this journey and you will play an important part! We will begin working with the Unit 5 Athletic Directors to craft a budget and ultimately fund the Coop teams. Our funding will go exclusively to provide helmets and equipment, uniforms, transportation, referee fees, coaching salaries and more to support the teams.
Please remember, this Coop will be privately funded by us and thus, to support our kids, we ask that you consider donating. Additionally, as a State Farm employee or retiree, your donations can be matched by the company up to $1,500, annually. This is a significant benefit that we would recommend you consider. Also, you will be provided documentation to support your charitable tax deduction to the Friends of Bloomington/Normal Lacrosse (FOBNL) which is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
There are two easy ways for you to donate to FOBNL:
· PayPal via the FOBNL webpage
· Checks made out to FOBNL and delivered to FOBNL c/o Steve Rogers, 9 Ravenwood Circle, Bloomington, IL 61704.
To initiate your State Farm matching gift, you can visit the State Farm Foundation page and select FOBNL from the drop down menu.
Also, please remember that if you want the maximum amount of your donation to go to supporting our community’s lacrosse program and have no fees deducted for processing, a check is the best route to go.
